I’ve lived in Michigan most of my life, having moved to Arizona at a young age after my older brother aged 12 died. My mother wanted to be in Michigan with her family, so we moved back to Michigan. That’s when my writing began more in the form of a diary, then in poems, on to short stories, all sent to publishers, and all rejected. I never gave up my writing, it was like a special time to reflect, dream, imagine. I also graduated from Lakeshore High School and Cosmetology School in the same year.

She graduated from Michigan College of  Beauty Culture.
